The ten-minute reset I give myself on heavy days

Some days my head is full before I've even finished my first coffee. I've stopped arguing with that feeling and started giving it a small exit instead.

My ten-minute reset goes like this: I put my phone face-down, step outside — no headphones, no podcast — and walk around the block slowly. I notice five things: the temperature of the air, a sound, a color, the feeling of my feet, one smell. That's it. Nothing to achieve.

It doesn't fix whatever is weighing on me. But it almost always loosens the grip a little, and I come back feeling like I have slightly more room inside myself.

Do you have a tiny reset you turn to on heavy days? I'd love to hear what it is.
