Safety & Community Guidelines

How CupTalks keeps peer support useful, boundaried, and safer.

If there is immediate danger

CupTalks is not emergency care. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline now. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

What CupTalks is

  • A peer-support community for thoughtful discussion, practical resources, and supportive conversation.
  • A place to ask for help, review helper profiles, and choose who feels like a good fit.
  • A guided resource hub that can point people toward calming tools, community support, or professional care.

What CupTalks is not

  • It is not a substitute for emergency services, diagnosis, psychotherapy, medication management, or licensed treatment.
  • Members should not promise outcomes, pressure others, or present self-claimed expertise as verified clinical authority.
  • Private messages and consultations should not be used for crisis management or highly sensitive private information.
