Today I'm giving myself permission to rest — no guilt attached

Coping Strategies Mindfulness & Routines

I've been thinking about how hard it is for me to just… stop. The laundry is there, the inbox is there, and somehow taking a break feels like I've done something wrong. So today I decided to give myself actual permission to rest — not earn it, not justify it, just take it. I sat on the couch with my coffee and did nothing for twenty minutes, and the world kept turning. Funny how guilt shows up even when nothing bad happened. I think rest is just part of being a person, like eating or sleeping, not a reward I have to deserve first. So if you're tired today: this is your sign to put your feet up, even just for a little while. What does guilt-free rest look like for you? I'd love to hear how you actually unwind when nobody's watching.
