Letting a good-enough day be enough
I have been noticing how often I end a perfectly ordinary day feeling like it was not enough. Nothing went wrong — I talked with someone I like, I got a few small things done, and I had a quiet moment to myself — and still, part of me was scanning for what I should have done more of.
Lately I am trying a gentler question at the end of the day: what was good enough about today? Not the highlight, not a big win, just the small, steady parts that actually held me up. Some days the answer is a warm drink and a short walk. Other days it is simply that I showed up, even when I felt tired.
Has anyone else felt that pull to measure a day by what it lacked, instead of what it quietly gave you? What does a good-enough day look like for you?
