Asking for help doesn't mean you're not strong
I've been thinking about how hard it can be to ask for help. For a long time, I treated asking as a last resort — something I'd do only after I'd exhausted every option on my own. Admitting I couldn't handle something felt like failing at it.
What I've learned, slowly, is that asking for help is actually a skill, not a weakness. The people who offer support usually feel closer to us afterward, not less impressed. And the help itself almost never needs to be big — an honest text to a friend, telling one person what a hard week it's been.
So here's my question for this Sunday: is there something you've been carrying alone that could be even slightly lighter if you told someone about it? No pressure to share the details. Just sit with the question for a moment.
