I've been noticing how often I push straight through the middle of the day without stopping. One task rolls into the next, and by late afternoon I feel frayed, even if nothing big went wrong.
Lately I've been trying something small: a real pause, not just switching to another screen. Ten minutes with a cup of tea, sitting by the window, doing nothing in particular. It doesn't fix anything, and it doesn't make the rest of the day easy. But I usually come back a little steadier, and a little kinder to myself and to the people around me.
I'm curious whether anyone else has a version of this. Do you take a pause during the day, and if so, what does yours look like?
