A mental health charity founded by former Arsenal and England captain Tony Adams is joining forces with Loughborough University to launch the Sporting Chance Research Hub, unveiled today (October 1) at the Sporting Chance Summit at York Racecourse. The hub will combine Sporting Chance's 26 years of clinical experience supporting sportspeople with Loughborough's academic expertise to investigate pressing questions around athlete mental health and turn research into practical guidance for players, clubs, coaches, and practitioners.

100 Clubhouse Advocates Take Mental Health Recovery to Capitol Hill

On September 30, Fountain House United and Clubhouse International co-hosted the first "Recovery Is Possible" Clubhouse Congressional Advocacy Day, bringing 100 Clubhouse community members from 17 states to Washington, D.C., to meet with federal lawmakers. Clubhouses are community-based organizations where people living with serious mental illness participate as members — working alongside staff on goals like employment, education, and housing — and the advocacy day also kicks off Fountain House United's summit on October 1 and Clubhouse International's annual USA Clubhouse Conference, October 1–3.
