A tiny bit of progress with deciding what can wait until tomorrow

It took me a while to name it, but I am dealing with deciding what can wait until tomorrow. I am learning that a response can be worthwhile even when it does not change everything at once. Rest can be part of responding to overload, not a reward that has to be earned. Has anyone found a small, repeatable response that makes the next hour easier?

I relate to the part about deciding what can wait until tomorrow. What usually tells you that you need comfort, practical help, or simply some space?

One thing that has helped me is deciding in advance which task is allowed to wait. I keep the goal deliberately small so it feels supportive rather than like another obligation.

I appreciate the honesty here. It is encouraging to see people leave room for different needs, different timelines, and imperfect progress.

That is a helpful question. I call a step manageable when I can begin it without needing to feel completely ready first.

Thank you for naming deciding what can wait until tomorrow. The details may differ for each person, but your post made me feel less alone in it.
